Abstract
The current paper is devoted to understanding the dynamic behaviour of symmetric composite laminates. A generalized first-order shear deformation theory is used in the current research. An isoparametric 4 node Lagrangian element with 3 degrees of freedom per node is used to mesh the modeled structure. The finite element program developed is tested for accuracy by comparing the current results with existing literature. Less than 5% error is reported between the existing literature data and the current simulations. A symmetric single folded composite laminate is extensively studied, and the following results have been provided as interaction curves.
