Abstract
In a mobile Ad hoc network all nodes will be moving from time to time. In such a dynamic environment the address assignment is a key issue. In this paper we propose a host node based addressing technique used for assigning network addresses to the nodes in a network. Here the addresses are stored in address filter and the filter will be stored by the leader of the network. Furthermore the leader handles all joining node procedures, partition merging procedures and leaving node procedures.
