Abstract
The article is a review of the monograph by Elena Koriakowcewa “Essays on the language of modern Slavic media (semantic and derivational and linguocultural aspects)”. The reviewed monograph analyses new productive processes of word formation in contemporary Russian, Polish and Czech mass media. Active types, models and morphemes of word formation system used in each language are represented as well. The structure of the book, scientific principles and approaches to the study of the language of mass media are analysed. The monograph is estimated as an original research, having scientific novelty, theoretical significance and practical value.
