Abstract
In this article, we presented the General theoretical aspects of what constitutes psychological readiness for school, interviewed future first-graders and conducted a methodology to determine the dominance of cognitive or playing motive in the affective sphere of the child's needs. Based on the data of the study, made conclusions. And also brought some tests by means of which parents could define readiness of the child for school.
