Abstract
This article tells about analysis of factors that affect the price of futures contracts for oil. First of all, it describes the conditions and properties of the futures for Brent crude oil, which is traded on the Moscow Exchange. Secondly, factors that influence the price of oil futures are identified. After that, each factor is considered separately, an analysis is made of the reasons for the change in each factor and what effect these changes have on the final value of the futures. Finally, the article contains conclusion about step, which investor should do before making a decision to purchase a futures contract.
