Abstract
Nowadays the English language is acknowledged to be the language of international business communication. To learn business English you should know some of its peculiarities. First and foremost, the matter concerns the specifics of business English vocabulary. The article under consideration studies some peculiar features of English economic terms. They are cases of polysemy, British/American English, and some discrepancies in translation of terms from English into Russian. It is essential to be aware of these things to establish effective business communication and minimize the chances of making mistakes in future.
