Abstract

The article analyses the practice in Petrozavodsk State University on implementation of Physical Education for elective courses, presents the polling results of students and teachers of Chair for Physical Education on the issues of switching to a new system of physical-education process organization in higher educational institute. The interconnection between the preferred sports disciplines and absence rate is also considered.
