Introduction. As a consequence of the intensification of Ukraine's cooperation with other countries of the world in recent years, the number of foreign students who wish to receive a degree in higher education institutions of Ukraine has significantly increased. Prior to the high school, the task is to improve the quality of educational services that must meet the needs of foreign future professionals. During the acquisition of professional competences by foreign contingent representatives in non-language higher education institutions, special attention should be paid to the development of communicative skills that are implemented in the educational process and in further professional activities. The purpose of the substantiation of dynamics and modern tendencies of Ukrainian-language preparation of future foreign specialists of technical specialties. Results. Within the framework of the issue of the formation of a «linguistic personality» at the level of higher education, the issue of Ukrainian-language training of future foreign specialists is of particular importance. The Ukrainian language is a functional part of the world's linguistic space. Its status as a state is enshrined in Article 10 of the Constitution of Ukraine. This status is confirmed by the laws «On Education», «On Higher Education» and «On the Principles of State Language Policy». Due to the active introduction in the educational process of innovative technologies and modern approaches, future foreign experts must have a Ukrainian language at the appropriate level for productive professional and personal communication. To do this, it is necessary to ensure the high efficiency of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language. The article systematizes the historical experience of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language on the territory of Ukraine and abroad. The dynamics of formation of the methodology of teaching the Ukrainian language as a foreign as a science and its close connection with such branches of linguodidactics as Ukrainian linguodidactics (Ukrainian language teaching methodology) and the methodology of teaching foreign languages that have common trends in development at the present stage of the reform of the national education system are characterized, but different historical and chronological features of formation. Conclusion. Based on the analysis of the current state, features and prevailing tendencies of Ukrainian-language training of future foreign specialists of technical specialties in institutions of higher education of Ukraine, we can conclude that the preparation of future foreign specialists in technical specialties in Ukrainian is a multidimensional and specific educational process.It involves the acquisition by future foreign specialists of the technical specialties of language and communicative competences in Ukrainian, which, taking into account the historical, psychological, linguistic, socio-cultural aspects of this process, the comprehensive use of methodological experience, the introduction of the latest forms and methods of teaching and computer support of the educational process, provides a successful obtaining technical education in Ukrainian higher education and effective further professional activity.
