MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN AS A SOCIO-PEDAGOGICAL PROBLEM

Abstract
Introduction. The article is devoted to the problem of multicultural education, which aims to educate a free, tolerant, active person conscious of their rights and opportunities, full and multifaceted self-actualization and self-actualization, which is the bearer of ethnic culture and at the same time a person capable of mastering the traditions and culture of other nations. The purpose of the article is to highlight some aspects of multicultural education of children in close connection with their socialization in present-day realities of the present, for which the necessary conditions for children to acquire the ability to compare the cultures of different peoples, to reveal their features and common features, to develop the ability to cultural identity, development empathy, benevolent attitude towards people and a positive attitude towards oneself. Results. The concept of multicultural education is considered from the standpoint of modern research on the principles of tolerance, tolerance and non-violence, features of multicultural upbringing of preschool children in the conditions of cultural diversity of Ukrainian society and reasons that lead to the fact that the efficiency of education of tolerance lags behind modern requirements of society. Preschool education has been studied as a special sphere of promoting the socio-cultural development of the child in a socially determined cultural environment, ensuring the involvement of the child in all the manifestations of the present-day culture and the contemporary social space that surrounds the child, with all its realities of human existence. The author has emphasized the urgent need of creating favorable conditions for engaging the younger generation in the ethnic, national and world culture, the formation on this basis of readiness and ability to live in a multinational society, to establish itself in the world through continuous dialogue with other actors, other cultures, and with yourself. Conclusion. The necessity of development of scientific and methodical recommendations that reveals in detail the logic and technology of creation of the corresponding target subprogram «Development of preschool education on the principles of multiculturalism» is determined.
