Abstract
The article examines the examples of defining the «medium business» in various countries, analyzes the criteria for business being qualified as medium-sized. The author identifies and justifies the need for a consolidated and clear definition of medium-sized enterprises in the national economy. The author offers recommendations on the formation of the domestic concept of «medium business» based on a comparative analysis of the definitions of medium business by foreign countries.
