Abstract

Abstract Education to women is the most powerful instrument of changing their position in the society, reduction in inequalities, to improve their status within the family. In olden days only men had the right for education while women were meant for home and domestic work. But Nowadays women have equal rights to be educated as men. There was an increasing trend in the number of enrollment of women student's in Post Graduate education. Ninety percent of the women students were aware of the Post Graduate courses. The tools used by the researcher's were Percentage analysis, Trend analysis. The trend analysis was applied for number of enrollment of Post Graduation. The tables represented that there was an increasing trend in the number of enrollment and in the final year the level is 143.85. It also stated that out of 60 respondents, 53.34% were motivated by their parents. The main intension for choosing higher studies is getting a better job. Earning money is ranked second from the student's point of view. The third intension is to create the good name from the society. Doing research is ranked fourth aspect. The respondents gave last ranked for marriage. So, the researcher concluded that the majority of the student's intension for getting a better job. Keywords: Education, Post Graduation, Placement.
