The article focuses on the exceptional significance of comprehensive humanitarian expertise as a sphere of professional learning activity. The terms "expertise", "expert evaluation", "socio-humanitarian expertise", "professional expert mental activity" are framed. The profession of expert is considered as oriented on mental activity and the intelligent work which is aimed at the formulation and solution of social and personal problems. The importance and the ability to operate with the analytical and synthetic method, the professional thinking, perfect activity and professional methodology as the components of expert's mental activity, which serve as an integral prerequisite for the complex humanitarian expertise competent conducting, is substantiated. The main basic forms of effective methodology of the socio-humanitarian sphere expert (principle, approach, method) are revealed, which denote in his mind the complexly organized ideal world and activate a phase-by-stage reflection, which introduces the meaningful conceptual formations - scientific and ideological universals, models to the expert.
