Abstract
In order to contribute to the search and development of innovative alternatives to institutionalized education, based on the use of information technology and communication, this paper regarding the management of educational institutions in virtual environments, part of the situation is experienced with regard to trends, especially in higher education institutions, to harness the potential of these technologies, to expand and improve their educational services through various strategies, including incorporating these technological advances in traditional courtly education or new programs and agencies with a special organization. As well as the emergence of new institutions in totally virtual environments.
To analyze this situation, we present some conceptual and contextual reference and raises some of the institutional dimensions that need to be reviewed for the peculiarities of virtual environments and the characteristics of the institutions based in these environments, as well as its comparison regarding aulic presentiality. To finally propose some action principles, derived from the experiences and reflections of this writing.
