Abstract

The article deals with the problem of teaching English for specific purposes writing of future IT professionals. B. Bloom's taxonomy is presented – cognitive processes of low and high order in a hierarchical sequence from simple to complex. The article formulates the skills of future IT professionals at each level of the cognitive process of writing a technical document in English according to B. Bloom's taxonomy. Verb-instructions for the correct formulation of tasks for exercises of each level were considered. Examples of exercises for each level of students' cognitive process are given from the developed training program «Software Requirements Specification Development» («Development of Software Requirements Specification»).
