Abstract
In the article on the basis of the analysis of scientific literature, the essence of the concepts of "emotional and volitional culture" is described in the context of the formation of the personality of the serviceman. The importance of forming the components of emotional and volitional culture in the process of professional development is revealed. The search of effective ways of forming a serviceman's culture is analyzed. The features of the self-regulating component are determined. The expediency of comprehensive and systematic study of emotional and volitional regulation of servicemen as a significant factor in the success of their professional activities is proved.
