Abstract
The paper deals with the relevant Jewish topics (and their component parts), which we can discover in the process of „critical reading“ of the novel “Kto hodí kameňom” (To throw a stone). This challenging novel was written by the Slovak prosaist and essayist Ján Tužinský. Our paper depicts two main Jewish characters, Jochen Levi and his uncle Adolf Weiss, as well as the rabbi´s Gerš „mysterious“ words before transportation of Jewish people from Rakovce to concentration camp. It also explains the roots of antisemitism and „exclusion“ (Jakub Zacharec´s fate) and their tragical feed-back not only during WW2. The fiction presents the conflictful community sui generis. The „space of living“ depicted in this novel has a potencial for inclusion of different people. This make-believe world (space) is multicultural, multiconfessional, full of mental and spiritual co-partnership, but also full of contradiction.
