Abstract
In veterinary epidemiology the advantage of comparison of data and geographic information systems is obvious. At the episode it could facilitate the situation control, to become the tool for assessment of various strategy of prevention of infectious disease dissemination. The present article describes and gives the review of possibilities and potential usage of the geographic information system (GIS) for observation and monitoring of animals' diseases. Control of infectious diseases extension, the general for the person and animals, remains one of the most important issues in veterinary science. Tuberculosis, brucellosis, rabies are dangerous for society. Every year the new centers of infections are registered. But also areas, which were earlier considered as unsuccessful on certain diseases, become safe. In this article the method of the information analysis by means of geographical model of extension of rabies among animals on the example of the Sverdlovsk Oblast is described.
