Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the significance of demonstration experiments in chemistry lessons, because teaching of chemistry at school can't be successful without organizing corresponding experi- ments, which are an important condition for motivating students' cognitive activity and training a steady interest in the studying subject. The author believes demonstration experiments are necessary for consolidation theoreti- cal knowledge, since visual memory is more operative than auditory memory, and thought processes have a close connection with visualization of knowledge and visual memory. Also, demonstration experiments are an important part of the educational process: they increase interest and motivation in a simple form, occur a way of testing knowledge and allow to in-depth study of the subject
