Patriotism as a value of contemporary Russian young people

: The article is devoted to patriotism of contemporary Russian young people. and analysis of mythological views related to patriotism that exist in the youth environment. The relevance of the chosen topic of the article is due to several reasons. Patriotism is the basis for the successful development of Russian society. Patriotism leads to the continuation and further prosperity of the members of a particular social formation, including the country. Patriotism is not a biological, but a social quality that is instilled in pedagogy. Patriotism is the basic social value orientation in the Russian society. Russian youth is the heir and future bearer of value orientations, traditions, and therefore it is important to understand the importance of patriotism and it is necessary to properly instill this value orientation of Russian youth.
