Abstract
A study of partial economic evaluation and description of cost-consequence is done in order to determine the cost of rehabilitation treatment from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2012 of cerebrovascular disease in the Service Rehabilitation at the Policlinic "Hermanos Martinez Tamayo" of Baracoa, Guantanamo. The universe was represented by 93 patients, of whom 78 met the inclusion criteria (slight dependence according Barthel scale): 51 had ischemic brain vascular disease and 27 of hemorrhagic type. Taking into account the status, progress and results into the scale of Barthel and medical judgment. It was found that the rehabilitation treatment had better outcome in ischemic cerebrovascular disease, showing greater capacity for independence from hemorrhagic etiology, which proved more costly than ischemic, most cost pressure in the rehabilitation of this disease is in the direct cost.
