Educational intervention on smoking in an office family

Abstract
An educational intervention is done with the aim of raising the level of awareness of the damages caused by snuff in patients less than 15 years, belonging to CMF Felicidad Arriba at the teaching Policlinic "Dr. Aurelio Martinez Mejias” from January to February 2015. The universe is made up of 301 patients younger than 15 years old a random sample of 87 patients' prior informed consent. The variables studied were: sex, age, education, marital status, smoking concept, symptoms, risk factors, complications. There was predominance of female sex, age group 12-15 years, and the level of pre-university education. The level of information before the intervention was poor, and that the surveys showed insufficient knowledge about the subject, but were not after it. The results obtained with the information and findings of other authors in literatures are compared, too.
