The role of the family in the socialization process of a deaf child

Abstract
The family is the largest and most stable socializing agent of our community, but its true that when it join to a member with a hearing impairment, the family environment is unbalanced. Today there are many types of families, including disabled family. It is important to know the types and fields which can have the family, to ensure optimal integration and communication with the child. Encouraging, a better and early social inclusion, improving the quality of relationship with the surrounding environment. The hearing loss of a child, suppose a total change in the lives of the couple, but depending if the parents have or not the same disability, the severity can be relativized. However, the fact that parents share the same disability, could appears to be a beneficial, we must consider other implications when working with the family. Definitely choose an appropriate communication system and accept disability are the first steps to the family relationship conducive to maturation and learning of children.
