Abstract
Children with Down syndrome differ in their evolutionary development. First, psychomotor development is slower. Also, the mental processes such as attention, memory or communication may present alterations regarding the standard. However, the development of other aspects such as curiosity, interest and satisfaction of needs are closely linked to their chronological age. For this reason, no subject is comparable to another, being essential an early and individualized educational attention. In this article proposals for educational intervention focused on literacy learning, sexual education and intervention are promoted with families.
