Chronic gingivitis, its association with some risk factors

Abstract
A study of cases and controls was performed in the Stomatological Service Brigada de la Frontera "Order Antonio Maceo 'Guantanamo to determine the association of risk factors with chronic gingivitis in the from February to July 2010. The universe was 1 800 troops, with non random sample of 450 patients, ages 19-25 and 26-34 years old, and both sexes. The oral examination is performed in both groups to identify some of the risk factors that were collected in the medical book, together are drawing up a survey of risk factors relevant to the study s well as variables: sex, age, poor oral hygiene, dental calculus to variables whose association with the disease proved to be significantly different from zero, the odds ratio for quantifying the degree of association and obtain the probability of the disease risk in the presence of the ones.
