The importance of continuing education of literacy teachers for improvements in pedagogical practice: A case study

Abstract
The research sought to analyze the importance of the continuous training of the literacy teachers to improve the pedagogical practice to the teachers in the classroom, verifying the efficiency of the continuing formation of the PNAIC, in order to identify this literacy environment in the school. In the research, the qualitative method of the descriptive type of the case study was used, collecting data through direct observation and the semi-structured interview conducted in the first semester of 2016 in E.E.E.F.M Augusto Olímpio in Belém / PA. Participating subjects (09) literacy teachers, (02) directors and (02) coordinators. The results showed that continuing education courses were fundamental for new experiences in the practice of literacy teachers. It was also observed that literacy students acquired more didactic knowledge, helping in this way to transform and improve pedagogical practices by appropriating innovative activities.
