SOME ISSUES OF SCIENTIFIC ENSURING OF RESORT BUSINESS

The research is based on results of the analysis of standard and legal documents and scientific works in the field of resort business and balneology, in particular. The existing requirements of the state level of management of sanatorium branch and demand of really carried out scientific research for branch are analyzed. Unsatisfactory situation with the state support of science in the sanatorium sphere is designated. Now the concept "balneology" is treated ambiguously. In most cases in normative documents and scientific publications this concept is presented by authors quite restrictedly as science about resort business of especially medical orientation. The author determines the term "balneology" as the universal name about all scientific aspects of resort business; the conclusion is drawn that it is necessary to add specialization of scientific research of institutes of balneology from "purely" medical aspects of resort business on decisions and other, not less relevant problems of the sanatorium sphere.
