THE DEVELOPMENT OF GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE CAPITAL REGION

The landscape and environmental assessment of the complex green zone of Astana city and the prospects for infrastructure development of green areas for public use were carried out in this work. The species composition of the main parks and squares of the city was studied: the Central Park of culture and rest “Stolichniy”, “Aray” park, “President's” park, the Park named after B. Momyshuly, “Zheruyik” park, “Chess Players” and “Islamic cultural center” squares. The following types of trees mainly represent the assortment of trees and shrubs: Scotch pine, drooping birch, ash-leaved maple, Chinese elm, rattlertree, Tatarian maple, Siberian spruce, etc.
