Abstract
Criminal policy is the direction of the state leadership in the fight against crime. To implement this policy one of the essential requirements is the need to punish criminals who have violated state law and public order in accordance with the law. This punishment should be aimed at achieving the objectives of punishment, regulation of legal relations and public abstention from committing crimes.
