Abstract
A method of environmental assessment on saline man-made soils of the Gatchin landfill is proposed to study the adaptive capabilities of new varieties of perennial grasses. The environmental characteristics were studied and adaptive capabilities of new varieties of perennial grasses in specific growing conditions were evaluated. In general, representatives of the grass family significantly superior in salt tolerance of the legume family.
