Abstract
Introduction. Autoimmune thyroiditis is one of the unsolved problems of modern endocrinology, as the issue of its insufficient etiology and pathogenesis comes now clear. Objectives. To study the effect of substitution, antiox-idant and lymph-drainage therapy in patients with AIT with hypothyroidism on the structure and functional state of the thyroid gland and the course of autoimmune processes in it. Methods. To evaluate the effectiveness of substitution, antioxidant and lymphatic drainage therapy in order to stabilize the functional state of thyroid and suppresses the activity of autoimmune processes; we have identified two groups of patients with autoimmune thyroiditis with subclinical hypothyroidism. In group I - control included 20 patients who received substitution therapy with thyroxine. In the II group included 33 patients who received a comprehensive treatment with the use of thyroxine, Alpha lipoic acid and Lymphomyosot in accordance with the elaborated scheme. Results. The use of substitution therapy with thyroxine and the proposed antioxidant and lymph drainage therapy in patients with AIT promotes the improvement of the structure of the gland, reduces the activity of peroxide oxidation processes and the activity of pro-inflammatory cytokines, increases the level of antioxidant defense enzymes, normalizes the number of aniline-positive lymphocytes, improves the lymphatic drainage function of the gland, substitution therapy with thyroxine or do not apply it. All this testifies to the effectiveness of the proposed method of complex treatment of patients with autoimmune thyroiditis.
