Abstract
In this paper bamboo is reinforcing with the polyester resin and also the bamboo fibre is hybridized with the teak wood fibre. In this study the bamboo and teak wood hybrid composite were fabricated and analyzed through experimentation. The main objective is to find the mechanical properties like tensile strength, flexural strength and impact strength and also find the physical properties water absorption and degradation. Experiments were conducted using Taguchi L9 orthogonal array considering the two deign parameters viz. weight fraction of the bamboo fibre and weight fraction of the teak wood powder. For the Orthogonal arrays of Taguchi, signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio, the analysis of variance (ANOVA), and regression analyses are employed.
