Abstract
This project deals with the three cases of symmetric carbon/epoxy composite material is applied to same mechanical load conditions and analytical model of laminate is calculated using Classical Lamination Theory (CLT) to determine stresses in laminate. These stresses are validate by Altair-OptiStruct solver and the failure analysis is carried out using Maximum principal stress failure theory and Tsi-Hill failure theory. The optimum case is chosen among the three cases mentioned above of carbon/epoxy composite material and using this material for the static analysis ofTurbocharger turbine. These stresses are compared with conventional material for turbocharger turbine i.e; Aluminum alloy and conclusions are drawn based on it.
