EFFECT OF SHIFT WORK ON THE FAMILY FULFILLMENT OF THE MARRIED EMPLOYEES WORKING IN THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY-BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT INDUSTRY

In recent years, there has been a change in the employment scenario all over the globe. The Information Technology industry is one of the biggest employees in the world. The scenario in today's society is that the individuals do lack time with their family and loved ones because of the work they are involved in. There is a paradigm shift in the family and work life of the individuals. The society is moving at a fast pace that there is lack of time for an individual to take care of his/her family. This study seeks to identify the effect of shift work on the family fulfilment of the married employees working in the Information Technology Industry. The sampling type used in this study is simple random sampling method and a sample of 443 married employees working in the Information Technology-Business Profess Management Industry. The results indicated a greater association between shift patterns on the marital life of the employees
