Cloud computing has become an inseparable part in modern computing. Cloud computing has grown rapidly and is very popular these days. With the advancement in cloud computing, there exist a wide range of cloud service providers. It is difficult for the customers to select a suitable cloud service based on their individual requirements. There exists a need for cloud service selection framework that helps the customers to select a suitable cloud service provider. Hence, we perform a survey analysis on the different cloud service selection techniques to give an overview on the various available cloud service selection techniques. The cloud service selection framework should improve the quality of service and satisfy the service level agreement. From a group of functionally similar cloud service candidates, quality of service rankings provide required information to select the most optimal cloud service. This survey has identified the main issues related to cloud service selection techniques. The study has been done extensively on various cloud service selection techniques. This survey will be beneficial to both customers and researchers.
