FUZZY CONTROLLER IN THE MULTIMODE CONTROL SYSTEM OF A BIOTECHNOLOGICAL OBJECT

Abstract

The synthesis method of the multimode automatic control system (ACS) based on a fuzzy controller with a minimum set of rules for managing the interval biotechnological object under the varying setting actions and disturbances has been described in the given paper. It has been determined that it is advisable to configure the fuzzy controller using the nominal model, the parameters of which are obtained by averaging their possible values within the intervals of the change. The studies have confirmed that the fuzzy controller settings obtained by the proposed method are sufficient for the operation of the automated control system under the varying setting actions and disturbances. To ensure the required quality of regulation in transient and steady-state modes there has been implemented an algorithm for adjusting the system structure by using information on the fluctuations of the controlled variable in the system. The obtained results of the fuzzy system modeling using the Fuzzy Logic Toolbox for MATLAB confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach to the development of an intelligent multimode control system for the weakly formalized fermentation process.
