Abstract
Natural fibers reinforced composite materials are used to reinforce the matrix in the form of polymer for improving the mechanical and tribological properties. Since these kind of fibers are environmental and Eco-friendly also they are very cost effective when compared with synthetic fiber reinforced composite materials. The abundant availability of natural fiber in India at very low cost and they are very easy to manufacture and they are suitable for the automobile industry to make any kind of component. The Natural fiber like hemp/flax, coconut fiber with different combinations needs to be treated chemically to improve the best bonding between the fiber surface and polymer matrix. The natural fibers which are chemically treated exhibits better and improved properties than the untreated fiber one. Therefore the Natural fiber reinforcements had given best results in impact, toughness/strength. This experimental research explains about research and best development in the improved properties of natural fibers in the vehicle industry.
