POVERTY CONDITION OF ARTISANAL FISHERMEN DURING LEAN SEASON- A REVIEW

The reality called ‘poverty' has taken its toll on artisanal fishermen. It is high time that the society heard their problems. This article is an effort to gather all the past literature that is relevant on this topic. The article has been divided into two thematic concentrations. The first theme is based on the poverty condition of artisanal fishermen at the fishing industry level. The second theme follows the first theme. Based on the problems found in the first theme, the second theme associates the domestic issues that have happened in the fishing households. Finally, a slew of solutions have been presented and the article concludes with the trends of the studies that have taken place in the past.
