Abstract
An attempt to reveal theoretical aspects of the instructional design applied at development of educational programs, on the basis of the analysis of foreign and domestic experience is made in the article. Using the concept of "design" in the educational sphere, its adaptation to the new environment, is connected with the solution of a number of methodological problems as involves expansion of terminological space of science, revision of ideas of some traditional categories in the educational system.
