INFORMATION SEARCH PATTERN OF MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS IN DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT: A SURVEY OF SELECTED COLLEGES IN COIMBATORE

The study explores the status of ICT infrastructure facilities available in medical college libraries in Coimbatore. It also presents the results of awareness and utilization of ICT based resources and services of these libraries among the Users from seven medical colleges. A total of 387 respondents were studied using simple random sampling technique. The result revealed that a plenty of resources and services was found in medical libraries and these resources were utilized optimally by majority of the respondents.
