THE RELATIONS OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AND BURNOUT: A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH ON A CALL CENTER EMPLOYEE

Abstract
The aim of this research is to understand organizational commitment and burnout to analyze whether organizational commitment levels of employees are significantly related to burnout or not. For this purpose, a qualitative research was designed and the perpective of the team leaders in a call center in Düzce were consulted about organizational commitment and burnout. The data were collected with a 9-question interview form containing questions related to organizational commitment and burnout and analyzed with descriptive analysis technique. Findings have shown that the emotional and normative commitment of team leaders is low and their continuing commitment is high. However, it has been found that team leaders have experienced burnout on certain issues, but it has been found that they have a career plan, a positive relationship with superiors, a loyalty to personality traits, and a decrease in burnout.
