Abstract
Abd al-Wahhab b. Bukht or with his known name Abd al-Wahhab Ghazi, a person who has spent his life with both scientific studies and j"ihad. According to the records, Battal Ghazi, Ahmet Turan Ghazi and Abd al-Wahhab Ghazi have struggled for the Islamization of the Anatolian lands. He joined Battal Ghazi with military activities in the Greek soil and was martyred in Hijri 113. According to the narration, the Umayyad commander Mesleme came to Bolvadin in 732 with a large army and he surrounds the Akrenon castle here. Abd al-Wahhab Ghazi's bravery was witnessed during the struggles against the Greeks. Abd al-Wahhab Ghazi encouraged the soldiers to continue fighting when he saw them running away. Abd al-Wahhab Ghazi was also busy with the hadith. He narrated hadith from Ibn Umar, Anes and Abu Hurayra. This hero who is not very well known, although he has done important services in the period he lived, should also be presented as an example for future generations. There is not much information about Abd al-Wahhab Ghazi in the sources. For this reason, our article is limited to his personality, his activities in the field of science, his life, and jihad, in the rate of available data.
