Abstract
This paper reviews the fundamental principles of the operations of Islamic banks. Also it reveals key aspects of modernized mechanisms within Shariah (Islamic law) framework commonly used in managing in- vestments by Islamic Development Bank (IDB). Additionally, we evaluate every stage of the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and IDB. In conclusion, we provide perspectives in priority directions of devel- opment and their forecasted indicators for the period of 2018 to 2021
