CRIMINOLOGICAL FEATURES OF SOME CRIMES ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF PAYMENT CARD

The present paper is an attempt to conduct research into safety issues arising in the sphere of using payment cards. Conducting a systematic analysis of recent statistical data the author provides a conclusion about the emergence of principally new threats (skimming, carding, etc.), which the existing law system is not ready to counteract. The author assesses the degree of social danger and gives criminological qualification to a number of crimes, committed in the sphere of clearing.
