Abstract

The problem of determining the structure of emotions understanding in preschool children, which is the actual and insufficiently studied in the native psychology, is discussed at the article. Based on the results of modern foreign psychological research, the author considers the conceptual model of emotion understanding EUReKA, the structure of emotion understanding in preschoolers as well as the developmental trajectory of emotion recognition skills and emotion knowledge skills at different stages of preschool childhood. The pre- schoolers' basic achievements in emotion understanding and basic changes in the primary school age children's structure of emotion understanding are pointed in the conclusion of the article
