Abstract

In the development of visual studies, the problem of "representation" plays an important role. The history of philosophy confirms the interest in this problem of a number of prominent thinkers of the past, beginning with antiquity. Imagination - is an activity of the whole body in its physicality and spirituality, the study of the visible medium in the interaction of touch, hearing and vision. The visual perception of the environment is, at the same time, the perception of oneself, of his or her thinking. Mental images are constructed by representations when obtaining visual data. Productive imagination is a vision of the world in accordance with its understanding. To imagine means to see the world through the eyes of another, which becomes the condition for the creation of a new, other mental space. The world seen by the human eye becomes a part of his or her personality, revealing the horizons for the development of visual thinking.
