Abstract
The beauty, power and lightness of voice, the richness of dynamic shades, speech musicality and tunefulness depend on breathing. In order to master phonatory diaphragmatic and costal (mixed) respiration it is necessary to train all muscles that take part in the breathing process: diaphragm, lower stomach muscles and intercostal muscles. This breathing is considered to be correct because it saturates the lungs with oxygen, ensures the elastic diaphragm muscles work and allows making long speeches. Breathing this way, the actor doesn't overstrain the vocal cords, pronounces the words loudly and clearly.
