PECULIARITIES OF TERRITORIAL DIVISION AND SELF-GPVERMENT SYSTEM IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

The article focuses on the territorial division of the United States to States, counties and municipalities. The existing system is closely related to the law, which may be different in the States. The territorial system influences the formation of municipal authorities, which differs sharply depending on State laws. The functioning of law enforcement is also dictated by the system of territorial organisation: in some States only have a bet tips, combining several functions in other States-a more thorough separation of powers.
