Abstract
Foreign object in root canal is quite unusual and is often an accidental finding. These objects are usually self-inflicted and are seen in pediatric patients having untreated Ellis class III fracture of upper anterior teeth. Clock hand, button, pen nib, finger nails etc., are some of the foreign objects that have already been reported. In this article, we discuss the rare case of a stapler pin being present in the root canal which was identified during routine radiographic evaluation, and a unique technique has been described to retrieve such foreign objects.
