Abstract
When developing digital data communication system, the whole scientific potential of radio engineering and communication theory is used in order to limit the interference immunity and system efficiency. Historically, the methods of modulation of amplitude, phase, frequency of a deterministic signal, suggested more than a century ago and many times modernized, are used. However, the goal to achieve the limit values of the effectiveness of communication systems remains unrealized. Probably, the old postulates and scientific propositions do not allow this. We suggest a new approach to modulation, namely, the replacement of deterministic oscillations by a quasideterministic signal with probabilistic characteristics. In addition, it is suggested to modulate the characteristic function of the signal, which, by analogy with the cosmonautics, serves as a “armour” for the signal. A new method for modulation a quasideterministic signal is analyzed in detail. The results of the analysis show that with its help it is possible to reach the limit values of interference immunity, spectral and energy efficiency of digital systems.
