Abstract
Kikuchi Fujimoto disease, also known as histiocytic necrotising lymphadenitis is an uncommon, idiopathic, generally self limiting cause of lymphadenitis(1).It may sometimes be associated with systemic lupus erythematosus. It usually affects young women and is seldom reported in children. (2) It is characterised by fever, lymphadenopathy, usually cervical, skin rashes and headache(3).We are reporting a case of a twelve year old boy who presented with fever with unilateral cervical lymphadenopathy for a short duration, in whom, the classical histological findings of a lymph node biopsy made it possible for us to arrive at a diagnosis of this rare entity.
